Texas Corn Cob Harvest

During this past month several members of the POET team, including myself, spent four weeks in the blistering 100 degree heat of southern Texas to work with equipment manufacturers in the operation of corn cob collection equipment.  I'm the guy from the video in this post.

This opportunity gave us the chance to work with the test equipment that will be used this fall in the commercial corn/corn cob harvest in Iowa and South Dakota fields.  The equipment ran well, some minor modifications were made at the completion of the testing to insure proper operation this fall.

We are looking forward to this fall's harvest and the commercialization of corn cob collection equipment so that we can secure the feedstock needed for cellulosic ethanol production.
